Ělthough I had gone to Link Settings and set Worksets for Shared Levels and Grids off, they still did appear in my main building model. Is it also the case that individual linked plan views must be created for each floor level because the View Range parameter affects the depth shown on the linked views?. Is it the case that in the container file, you can create just one Elevation/Section view for each view type you need (GA, Wet Area, Stairs, etc) and then use that as the view to link by from numerous views in the main project model?. Then back in your main project model you link only the Container file and choose the views you created to link by. Ĝreating a series of views in this link file where you set the VG as desired for how you want to see these views in the main project model. Ĝreating an empty Revit project file into which you link all the consultant/engineering/architectural Revit files.
To help mitigate this problem a colleague suggested the Link Container File method.
View Templates are available to apply the VG settings of one view to multiple views, but if you have multiple links visible in the one view, then there is no in-built way to replicate the custom settings of one link to the other links. There seems very limited ability to easily replicate the VG settings of linked files across multiple views in a project.
